Executive Vice Chairman(EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Prof Umar Danbatta has said Nigeria is the preferred investment destination because of the nation’s ready markets and potentials for growth.

The EVC was speaking earlier today at the ongoing International Telecommunications Union (ITU) World 2017 in Busan, South Korea.

According to him , Nigeria with a population of over 190 million is a choice investment destination in Africa.
“over 150 million active subscriber, over 100% teledensity, over 90 million internet connections, Nigeria is the place to invest.”
.
ITU is United Nation’s telecommunication arm. The event is a gathering of highest decision makers in telecoms across the globe.

IT NEWS NIGERIA gathered that NCC aims to woo more investors in order to meet Nigeria’s broadband target of 30% in the year 2018.
