NCC Hosts ITU Secretary General, Zhao

The Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Houlin Zhao paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission’s (NCC) Head Office in Abuja yesterday.

This is according to recent posts on the apex telecoms regulator’s social media platforms.

 

It added that following Zhao’s visit,  NCC hosts the 2nd African Preparatory Meeting (APM) towards the 2018 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-18) today at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

 

The purpose of the African Preparatory Meeting (APM) is to harmonize Africa’s position on the Plenipotentiary process (PP-18) Agenda items ahead of the 2018 Plenipotentiary Conference.

 

The programme was well attended by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), some Ministries and parastatals of the Ministry of Communications Technology as well as representatives of Network Operators in Nigeria and other representatives of African Telecommunications Union (ATU) member states.
