Vihaan Networks Limited (VNL), a leading global telecom equipment manufacturer, today announced the launch of its LTE based communication portfolio for the African markets in Lagos.

. The products are being showcased for preview at the Indo-Africa ICT Expo 2018, Lagos, Nigeria, at booth numbers 3B &4B, Eko Hotel & Suites. The rugged systems have been designed and developed keeping in mind the requirement for high speed voice and data connectivity, particularly for African rural and remote areas.

The LTE portfolio also consists of do-it-yourself installations, which can be setup in less than a few hours.

Because the offerings come with our vision of creating sustainable and environment friendly products, the deployed sites can be 100% solar powered. Another advantage of solar power is that it can run without electricity for days and can be deployed in areas bereft of roads and basic infrastructural facilities.

The LTE portfolio was launched in India by Hon’ble’ Telecom Minister Shri Manoj Sinha, along with Mr. H. E. Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, Telecom Minister, Nigeria; Mr. Meas Po, Secretary of State, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Cambodia, and other global dignitaries, at the India Telcom 2018 event.

VNL is now taking the 4th edition of the Indo-Africa ICT Expo 2018 as an opportunity to bring its vision of connecting the unconnected to Africa. The grand expo is being organized by Government of India’s Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council and NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Service Companies), to strengthen the relationship between Africa and India for a mutually profitable partnership.

Commenting on the launch, VNL’s Founder, Chairman Mr. Rajiv Mehrotra said, “The latest range of technologically robust 4G/LTE telecom products is the outcome of our strong in-house R&D capabilities and signify India’s inherent strengths in the area of telecom equipment manufacturing.
