Cedar Hive Incubator & Co-working Space takes over MEST Africa Lagos Location, appoints Barbara Onyejose as Community Manager



Cedar Hive Incubator & Co-working Space acquired MEST Africa Coworking Space in Lagos on the 1st of August 2019 located at 19b Adeyemi Lawson Ikoyi, Lagos. Cedar Hive Incubator & Co-working Space is a project of Cedar Operating Partners Limited- a member of the Cedar Financial Services Group with interests in Investment Banking, Insurance Brokerage and SME Lending.

Through this project, Cedar Hive aims to eliminate operational friction and enable start-ups thrive by sharing coveted resources, management, infrastructure, software and skilled community competencies which the platform has created. Cedar Hive aims to establish a process of consistent start-up creation and development, built using an interdisciplinary body and an inventive, yet highly effective infrastructure.

Also, Barbara Onyejose has been appointed as Community Manager at Cedar Hive. Barbara has a background in communications, event management and community building. She has been in the tech innovation and entrepreneurship space for 4 years now and is passionate about ecosystem building.

Cedar Financial Services Group, through its Cedar Hive Incubator and Co-working Program, is proud of this new phase of its business growth. Cedar was one of the early residents in the Lagos Space and grew from a team of 6 to 19 people within 20 months. The phenomenal growth is as a result of the excellent work done by the MEST team. Being a product of a successful Incubator model, Cedar Hive will leverage on the excellent infrastructure built by MEST by providing the required support system to help startups in Nigeria,” Afolabi Adetola, Group Managing Director of Cedar Financial Services.
