ScholarX partners Airtel Nigeria to launch new mobile learning platform

ScholarX Technologies Ltd has announced a strategic partnership with Airtel Nigeria to launch LearnAM, a new mobile learning platform that provides skills training content to improve learning outcomes.

A statement today added that ScholarX will also receive grant from the GSMA Innovation Fund for Mobile Internet Adoption and Digital Inclusion while taking advantage of Airtel Nigeria retail and digital channels.


According to ScholarX, the grant will help fund key components in the initial phase of the project including Platform Development, Content Development & Sourcing, and Early User Adoption.

Mr Bola Lawal, Co-founder and CEO, ScholarX, expressed profound appreciation to Airtel Nigeria and the GSMA Innovation Fund, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). “we are now able to embark on our quest to connect millions of unconnected people in Africa to the Internet and help them get trained in valuable skills for the new Digital Economy,” he said.

Commenting on the partnership, the Chief Commercial Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Dinesh Balsingh, said Airtel is pleased to partner with ScholarX, the GSMA Innovation Fund Grantee, in creating platforms and opportunities that will empower and equip young Nigerians with the skills they require to become more successful in their personal and professional endeavours.
