Drivers of Uber and Bolt have said they have embarked on strike actions against systemic slavery.
TechCabal reports Monday that Professional E-hailing Drivers and Partners Association (PEDPA) said it wants Uber and Bolt to review commission from 25 to 10%.
The American and European ride hailing firms currently collect 25% of every naira charged riders.
PEDPA Association said Uber and Bolt have rejected all entreaties for dialogue.
I the one week strike is a warning to the companies to address their grievances or face indefinite strike.
Mr Idris Shonuga, the National President of PEDPA, said “Unfortunately, they fail to give us a say, they keep fixing the price ridiculously low and we’re selling below the cost price.”
All efforts to reach Uber proved abortive. Uber refused to respond to IT News Nigeria messages.
