There are anger and disquiet online as Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami refused to resign despite reported links to religious extremists.
Pantami has been accused of using his privileged education sow hatred and incite killings in Nigeria as calls for him to quit mounts including leading new media.
THE NATION said “Pantami used his education to spew hatred and bigotry under the guise of propagating Islam. He is a clear and present danger as long as he remains in office. It is time for him to go.”
Chief Mike Ozekhome, a legal practitioner, described Isa Pantami as a leopard with unchanging spots. He told Sahara Reporters : By the way, where was the DSS which was supposed to screen Pantami before his name was sent to the Senate?
