Team mates to Christian Eriksen have revealed how they felt moments he experienced cardiac arrest during the Euro 2020 game between Denmark and Finland weekend.
Their feelings ranged from outright fears of possibly losing one of the most Danish influencial players on the pitch to somewhat distraught and out pouring of emotions as they formed a protective wall around him.
Martin Braithwaite, who plays for Barcelona said it was the scariest moments of his life.
Eriksen collapse: How it happened
Eriksen was leading attack for the Scandinavian side when the Inter Milan playmaker collapsed and needed CPR on the pitch and FA confirmed on Sunday morning that Eriksen was stable in hospital and would undergo further tests.
Braithwaite said via social media post: “Last night was one of the scariest moments of my life.
“My thoughts are with Christian, his wife, kids and family. I’m grateful that he’s stable and alive.
“Right now, that’s all that matters. Hope to see you soon my friend.”
