Russia’s Putin has said he does not have online accounts and that there are better uses of his time than posting on Twitter or Facebook
IT News Nigeria:
President Vladimir Putin of Russia Federation has revealed that many social media accounts purporting to bear his name are fake because he does not have spare time for it.
Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov noted at the Eastern Economic Forum on Thursday that the strongman Putin also rejected the idea of designating individuals for the role of handling social media accounts because he has dedicated state channels to connect with the people of Russia.
Putin said “my working days are so busy and finish so late at night that I am not in the mood for Instagram,” he said. “All I think about is to get to bed to sleep.”
“He does not want anyone to do it for him,” Peskov said. “He considers it wrong.”
According to Peskov Putin feels that there are more productive uses of his time than setting up an account on Twitter or Facebook. “Putin himself does not use social networks,” he concluded.
Social media is agog with several accounts claiming to be President Putin. Those accounts proved to be fake.
