Atedo Peterside says, as a Nigerian, it is his right to tweet using VPN access

Atedo Peterside has said it is his human rights to use Twitter as a Nigerian whether he is in the country or not because he uses VPN for access.
The investment banker, Peterside told AriseTV; The Morning Show today while responding to question from Reuben Abati on the fact that he is on Twitter while Government suspension of the social media network lingered.
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network and million of Nigerians have connected to it to in order to remain accessible and visible on Twitter despite FG government suspension of the social media giant.

He noted that Nigeria is a country where some prominent individuals come to live TV to lie to the people and keep lying.
“I will not lie. I am on VPN and it’s my right to tweet as a Nigeria whether am at home or abroad.”
According to him, the Lagos State Panel emerging reports on Lekki tollgate killings are revelations into broad day lies by those in authorities who swore to protect the same citizens that were killed.
