Hundreds of women passengers have said they are taking action against hailing giant Uber for redress

Over 500 women claim Wednesday that they were attacked by Uber drivers, according to a lawsuit brought against the popular ride-hailing platform by a US law firm.
IT News Nigeria gathered that at least 150 more cases being actively investigated.
According to report, the complaint filed in San Francisco County Superior Court alleges that female passengers in multiple states “were kidnapped, sexually assaulted, sexually battered, raped, falsely imprisoned, stalked, harassed, or otherwise attacked by Uber drivers.”

Uber has been aware that its drivers were attacking women since 2014 but has done little since then.
When Uber became aware of the fact that its drivers “were sexually assaulting and raping female passengers,” not much has changed since 2014 and it has not responded or commented on the lawsuit
