Twins Lydia and Timothy Ridgeway Monday are celebrating a rather belated birthday, coming into the world after a 30-year wait.
Thought to be the longest-frozen embryos to ever result in a live birth, they had been stored in -200C liquid nitrogen since April 1992, after being donated to the National Embryo Donation Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The healthy babies were born on October 31, and parents Rachel and Philip are understandably thrilled, if a bit blown away by the math of the situation.
