Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) announced recently that the country registered a total of 22,113 domain name in 2015. The Association noted that the renewal was 14,462domain names, added that the figures for 2014 were 18,870 and 11,319 respectively. “We also witnessed an increase in the number of NiRA Accredited Registrars with an increase of five. NiRA can now boast of having 53 Accredited Registrars.” It added that the agency  are hopeful the numbers would increase in 2016 with the additional accreditation of local and foreign Registrars.
