The future of banking has arrived in Abuja, as FirstBank, the West African premier financial institution and financial inclusion services provider, unveiled its latest FirstBank Digital Xperience Centre (DXC) in Area 10, an innovation designed to make banking faster, smarter, and entirely paperless.

The fully automated branch is FirstBank’s 7th Digital Xperience Centre across Nigeria.

At the colourful ceremony, FirstBank Group CEO, Olusegun Alebiosu, said the Centre is part of the bank’s grand vision to create a fully digital, customer-centric banking experience that meets modern demands.

“For us, the future is digital,” Alebiosu declared. “From account opening to transfers, customers can now perform almost every transaction on their phones. But for those who still need to deposit or withdraw cash, our Xperience Centres provide a 24/7 self-service option, even on weekends.”

He revealed that FirstBank has integrated artificial intelligence and biometric technology into its security systems to safeguard customers against fraud. “We have built strong controls and a tripartite verification process to ensure safety,” he added.

The event drew dignitaries, including Senator Babangida Hussaini, who praised the bank’s innovation.

“This is a forward-thinking initiative. I commend FirstBank for investing in both people and technology,” he said.

Customers like Mrs. Toyin Balogun were also full of praise: “The staff are always friendly. I believe this new Centre will make things even smoother and faster,” she remarked.

This milestone reinforces FirstBank’s commitment to driving digital transformation and redefining the future of banking in Nigeria.

The new centre joins a growing list of FirstBank Digital Xperience Centres already commissioned at Adetokunbo Ademola Branch, Victoria Island; University of Ibadan; Wuse Branch, Abuja; Banana Island, Lagos; Admiralty Way, Lekki; and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Designed as a state-of-the-art self-service hub, the FirstBank Digital Xperience Centre provides customers with seamless access to innovative, world-class banking solutions, from instant account opening and interactive digital support to advanced transaction and service automation.
